Arkansas and the Ozarks
I have lived in northwest Arkansas on Beaver Lake since 2003. The area is on the western edge of the Ozark Mountains which include several National Forests, a National Park, a National Scenic River and numerous conservations areas. Wildlife, rivers, bluffs, lakes and a mind-boggling variety of trees make the area one of the loveliest in the nation. We have distinct seasons here, too, and the colors change with those seasons. The light changes, too, from the brass of summer to the copper of autumn, the silver of winter to the soft gold of spring.
My paintings of the Ozarks reflect my deep love and amazement at this area and its natural beauty. I am truly blessed to be able to create art in this beautiful place.
